I almost made the same mistake. It took me a minute, but I realized it didn&#39;t make much sense for tadpoles to be in a little swimming pool. (How did they get there?!) Mosquitos are a lot smaller and make worm-like movements and they also go bottoms up to the top of the water to breathe. Tadpole are bigger and actually swim. My mom evidently doesn&#39;t know the difference because she got my daughters some &quot;tadpoles&quot; and had them all excited over the &quot;baby frogs&quot; before I saw them.
